Introduction
Music not only for the (tenor) trombone, but also for other tenor range brass instruments such as the euphonium and the baritone.Few of the pieces here are written especially for the trumpet, but for more or less any melodic instrument. This is not special for Musica Viva. There is very little music for trumpet solo written before the 20th Century, and the trumpet books you can buy usually contain mostly music originally for other instruments, just like here.
Other trombone sizes
Music for brass instruments at Musica Viva are divided into four different archives not according to the instruments' names, but their sizes (or more correctly: their ranges). Although it's the tenor that is the most common variant of the trombone, there are others too:- Soprano trombone

As big as Musica Viva is, you still can't find everything here. There's the problem with copyright on modern music for a start, and no web server on earth is big enough to store all music ever written. ;-)
